Gardeners in Aldwick should get their blooms in good shape for an annual contest.
The competition to find the parish's best front garden has been launched by councillors. Judging will take place soon.

Nominations for the top plots should be made to the parish council's clerk, Sue Batey, at her offices at 88 Pryors Lane by July
11.

They should state into which category the garden is being entered.

These are: small gardens, with frontages of less than 20ft; larger gardens, with frontages of more than 20ft; commercial properties; hanging baskets; or public areas.

The competition forms part of the Aldwick in Bloom efforts which are pitting the area against the best of Britain again this year.
