A PRE-SCHOOL has received a glowing report from Ofsted after being inspected two weeks after it first opened its doors.
Sidlesham Pre-School, in Keynor Lane, received 'good' grades for every category in its report which includes overall effectiveness, leadership and management and quality and standards.
"We are all enjoying it here," said teacher Sarah Murray.
"We thought inspectors wouldn't arrive until six months in. They were very friendly. We have only 12 children which means we get to spend a lot of time on each individual. The inspectors were really impressed with us."
The school supports children who have learning difficulties, disabilities, and those who speak English as an additional language.
Sidlesham Pre-School was hailed for providing 'very effectively for children'.
Planning for lessons was also praised by the Ofsted inspector.
Helga Stimpson, who is also a pre-school teacher, said: "We were surprised to get an inspection, but we are really pleased we got the good grades."
Inspectors said the school could improve by creating more self-developing systems to continue making progress.
Sidlesham Pre-School started in September this year from the ashes of Keynor Playgroup, which stopped running in the summer.
