Mps troughing club
ONE thing is for sure, that every one of you reading my rant (bar a few "elite") is sickened to the core at the revelations about MPs' expenses
For far too long the British parliament has been no more than an old boys' club.
The revelations demonstrate it is obviously filled by many who are not there to do the best for the electors of this country, but to screw as much as possible out of the very voters who have put them there.
The rules, quoted so often by MPs who have been discovered with not only their noses but their whole bodies in the trough, were made by MPs.
It's wonderful, isn't it, to be able to make the rules for the maximum benefit of yourself? Wouldn't you love to be able to do that?
I wouldn't mind betting there's an "expenses school" in Whitehall to teach newly elected MPs the "rules" so they can benefit to the full from their newly-found status.
It's sickening that these money-grabbing individuals, full of their own pomposity, have the time to be so creative with their expenses.
It takes a lot of time and effort to list everything they buy except the food they eat to make a claim against the taxpayers – even down to horse manure!
It's time that would have been better spent looking after our interests. Let's also not forget that several who are the most inventive with expenses are millionaires.
It's sickening that we have a totally inept prime minister who babbles on about his fellow MPs making "mistakes" about their expenses.
No ,Gordon. These are not mistakes, in some instances it's theft. What should have happened is that the police should have been instantly called in to examine each and every MP's claim in minute detail.
Wouldn't it be great to see these scroungers standing in the dock, charged, convicted and jailed.
It's sickening that we have the Speaker not so much worried about the scandalous way MPs have been behaving, but that someone has dared to leak the claims to the Daily Telegraph, and has called the police to investigate that.
Yes, Mr Speaker, let's do our utmost to preserve this sickening old boys' club.
Every Oxbridge plum-in-your-mouth to the call, aided and abetted by ex-shop stewards who have quickly forgotten the workers in the lure of the gravy-train. Preserve the system at all costs, don't you know!
Don't for a moment believe that the troughing ends with MPs. Let's not forget there is a huge army of mandarins behind them. Let's now examine their expenses in minute detail. Don't forget that behind the Commons there's the Lords – just another lot living on our backs.
And let's not forget the countless army of people employed by quangos set up by this government, and heaven knows how much is claimed by senior staff at British embassies abroad. And shall I just mention here the billions the European Parliament is costing us?
Getting an idea now how big the trough the "elite" are wallowing in Britain? That's why our taxes are so high. It's just 10p in the on the Isle of Man which, lucky for them, are separate from the clutches of Westminster and Europe. Think of that the next time you vote.
It's the same old boys' club which has allowed company directors to vote themselves pay rises year after year, way in excess of workers, without any attempt by MPs to rein them in, and no attempt by MPs to stop the troughing bankers who have brought so many of us to our knees. Old boys of Britain united forever!
We so desparately need to sweep away the cosy little Tory/Labour club in Britain and introduce a new order.
There's a chance to make a start at the elections in June. I hope for the first time some minority parties get a real chance. And if you don't think that they can do a better job than this dreadful lot, then I give up on you!
