Mystery musicians – photographs from the Worthing Herald archives

PICTURES of two young musical groups performing to crowds of teenage fans, have been found in the Herald archives.

A quartet of guitarists are playing in the midst of a large crowd of teenagers.

The venue looks very similar to where the band photographed in the first of the Herald's looking back pictures was taken.

In the second photograph a band called The Chukkas are standing inside a wood-panelled recess while they perform.

Who were these young musicians and where were they performing?
