Billions have been squandered
I REFER to the article in the Herald (Thursday, February 11) concerning Ian Ross's interest in consultancy costs incurred by Worthing Borough Council.
The figure quoted, 1.7million over six years, pales into insignificance when set against the 45billion his own party has squandered on failed projects.
However, it is good for the sake of democracy that Mr Ross is raising the profile of the Labour Party in Worthing West with a general election just a few weeks away.
May I wish him good luck in his battle for second place.
Bryan Turner
Conservative
Gaisford ward
Worthing Borough Council
