Car drivers, vote no
THANKS to Duncan Kay, we now know that the aim of the Twenty is Plenty for Worthing campaign is to make short car journeys so inconvenient that we will walk or cycle instead.
This is done under the name of safety. If we allow this to happen the next thing will be a "Stay alive, stay under five" campaign.
I have seen 20's Plenty signs in other towns and would like to know who is funding these campaigns and if they receive government grants.
As I pointed out before, it won't slow down those who ignore the present legal limit and will cost more than 250,000 to implement in Worthing.
This money would be better spent on bringing the roads up to standard.
Those who don't wish to have the usefulness of their cars limited yet further should write to their local councillors and ask them to vote against it.
Thanks a plenty, no to 20.
