Centre needed, but not there
I READ with interest your article (Herald, August 6) about the proposed location for the family and children centre in Findon Valley.
Read the article Findon Valley neighbours wage war against West Sussex County Council here.
I totally support the need for one in this area.
The problem we face in Worthing is that we have few places that would act as an ideal location.
Conservative MP Tim Loughton apparently states that he is angry that "the county council's planning committee" voted to place the centre at The Vale School, Findon Valley.
Why does he not communicate with his Conservative colleagues?
They all voted in favour of this location, including the chairman.
How do I know? I was the only member of this committee to vote against it.
I've visited the Findon Valley area and I would agree with the residents that it is not suitable there.
