Circus animals have no choice

Ian Hart should stick to what he knows and he obviously has no knowledge whatsoever relating to animal welfare.

Circus animals are living, sentient beings but instead of being free to wander vast distances and live natural lives, they are confined to cages where they constantly pace backwards and display other forms of repetitive neurotic behaviour.

The constant loading, unloading and transportation from place to place causes them undue amounts of stress.

Is it any wonder that they sometimes turn on their captors?

I do not understand how anybody can derive pleasure from seeing these animals "perform".

Far better to watch the many excellent documentaries on television where they can be seen living a natural life in the country where they belong.

Finally, Susan Boyle appeared on Britain's Got Talent voluntarily. She, also, has a voice, unlike the animals that have no voice but ours.
