Dome gets anxious
WITH reference to the various letters appearing in the Herald before Christmas expressing worries over the future of the Dome, it would appear the Worthing Dome Regeneration Trust also has concerns.
I believe the chairman of this charitable trust has said she would worry about its future if a multi-screen cinema opened at Teville gate. The trust has always known multi-screen cinemas were likely to arrive in Worthing and it was thought the trust’s business plan for lottery money had to take this into account. So, rather than a petition (to say what?), perhaps it would be wise to have an open public meeting between the Worthing Dome Regeneration Trust and the people of Worthing to decide how best to overcome the threat of this “perilous future”.

Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 03:24 PMI do hope this letter is not the early stages of a campaign to get public subsidy for a few Dome goers at the expense of many hard pressed tax paying residents. Public meetings are only intended for wind up peoples emotions. Attendance at such meetings is of course mandatory for those possessing political motivations so I suspect user titles frankly and joby will be all over this when they spot it.
