Goods, please, not rubbish
REFERRING to your letter about the charity shop printed on June 19, perhaps the volunteers had to climb over donated "goods" left overnight, strewn all over the pavement, having been gone through by someone who has taken the best items.
Enough to amake anyone fed-up.
While charity shops welcome goods, perhaps donors would bear in mind that they cannot selled cracked items or crockery, toys with parts missing, rusty kitchen or garden ware, damaged clothing, tatty books, old pianos (yes, one was left outside a charity shop), worn-out shoes, etc.
If you would not buy it yourself, the shop cannot sell it.
