Wrong timefor tree work
I WOULD like to know why there is ongoing extensive tree-cutting work going on in the road leading to the Lancing and Sompting cemetery at this time of year?
The area is a favourite spot for nesting birds and as the breeding season is well under way, I am disappointed that the trees are being cut now – surely they could have been left until later?
Furthermore, the closure of that road is not public knowledge, only locals who use the area regularly would know about it – this results in visitors to the cemetery, who may well have travelled some distance, being unable to gain access.
All in all, not a very well-planned exercise!
