FLORENCE-BORN Martina Angioloni is the Princess in Vienna Festival Ballet's Sleeping Beauty production in Worthing.
The former Vienna State Opera dancer will dance with VFB's Frenchman, Sebastien Quemere, as the Prince. Like Quemere, she joined the company in February. She speaks English, French, German and Italian.

Her early ballet training began at the Demidoff Ballet School and she participated in Master class courses at the Princess Grace Academy in Monte Carlo, directed by Marika Besobrasova, then the English National Ballet School, and the Royal Ballet School, London.

After winning many competitions in Europe including "Eugene Polyakov", and a Gold Medal in Turin at the "Giovanissimi Talenti" competition, her talent was discovered by the Vienna State Opera's director Renato Zanella.

In September 2003, she was offered a contract with the Vienna State Opera Ballet, and danced with the company until 2005.

In July 2005, she took part in the Festival dei due Mondi di Spoleto with the Interplay Dance Theatre.

From 2005 till 2007, she performed with the Cannes Jeune Ballet under the direction of Monique Loudieres, a star from the Paris Opera. While in Cannes, Martina aspired to soloist and danced in many different ballets, both classical and neo-classical.

In the summer of 2007, she went on tour with the Florence ballet company MaggioDanza.
