Vienna Festival Ballet Nutcracker profile - Lucy Lowndes

LUCY LOWNDES is originally from Bristol, and had her first training at Bristol Ballet Centre. During this time she was chosen by the Royal Ballet School in 1994 to train with the Junior Associates.


In 2003, Lucy gained a place at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and graduated in 2006 with a BA Hons degree.
During her time at Rambert, Lucy performed at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden dancing in Ramberts' School production of Paquita.
Since graduation Lucy has danced for Cork City Ballet, Ireland in their production of La Bayadere.

Recently this year she was chosen to feature in the film Ballet Shoes, directed by Sandra Goldbacher, and choreographed by Sammy Murray.
This is Lucys second season with Vienna Festival Ballet.
