Vienna Festival Ballet Nutrcracker profile - Gledis Tase

Gledis Tase was born in Prishtina, Kosovo, Gledis started his dancing career in his home town at his local ballet school. At the age of 12 he came to live in London.


When he was sixteen he was offered a scholarship for a three-year musical theatre and performance course at the Margaret Howard Theatre College.

While being at Margaret Howard Theatre College Gledis enjoyed attending the 2002/2003 Royal Ballet summer school. After graduating with Distinction Gledis decided to further his training and focused on classical ballet. As a consequence he studied at Central School Of Ballet were in 2005 he gained a 2:1 BA (Honours) Degree
In Professional Dance & Performance.

While training at Margaret Howard Theatre College and Central School Of Ballet Gledis took part in a number of productions, such as, the national tour with Ballet Central.

He also performed a Pas de Deux choreographed on him by David Nixton, the Director of Northern Ballet Theatre, to be performed at the Young Dancer of the Year Competition.

In 2006, he was invited to dance with Vienna Festival Ballet on their National Spring tour.
