THE husband of missing Ferring woman Elaine Taggart has been stood down from his police bail.
Andy Taggart, 43, was arrested by police investigating the disappearance of his wife Elaine at the couple's home in Ferringham Lane, on April 9.
Yesterday (Wednesday, August 27) police confirmed no charges had been brought against Mr Taggart and that he had been stood down from bail as enquiries continue.
A police spokesman said: "We are still very anxious to find Elaine Taggart and as we have said before, we do fear the worst.
"We are not ruling anything out."
The last confirmed sighting of Elaine Taggart, 48, was on January 3.
Her red Fiat Punto was found in Goring Street, near Goring railway station, on January 4.
Anyone with information regarding her disappearance is urged to call police.
