WHEN the Waverley paddle steamer made its way to Worthing Pier, ready to pick up its passengers for a mini cruise, it was quite a sight to behold.
However, the hundreds of people who gathered on the pier to either enjoy the spectacle or head off on a day out, were left disappointed after part of the landing stage was damaged during docking.
