THE sights and sounds of Worthing's first children's parade weaved its magic through the town centre.

Around 200 Worthing schoolchildren and their families took part in the parade on Saturday, July 12, with many in costumes, playing instruments and carrying artistic creations they had created especially for the event.
And the parade was led by the Thomas A Becket Middle School samba band.
Lindy Stannard, who organised the event, said: "The parade was brilliant and was everything I could have wished for and more.
"I have never been involved in an event before where nothing went wrong. The children were fantastic."
The parade started at Beach House grounds and made its way to Splash Point, along the seafront to West Buildings and through Montague Street, South Street and Warwick Street, before finishing in Steyne Gardens.
In Steyne Gardens, there was a charity fair run by the Smiles Foundation.
The foundation is based in Romania and 38 members of Broadwater churches, including Lindy, will be going out there soon on a mission trip.
