Beer and music lovers will be heading to Icklesham next weekend when the Village Beer Festival takes place.
The big event takes place on Robin Hood Field from Friday July 25 - Sunday 27 and tickets are on salle now.

On offer will be more than 100 real ales from small independent craft brewers from all over the UK as well as a top line-up of bands.

The event will open, on the Friday evening, with the traditional blessing of the beer by Reverend Gerald Pegg.

Musical highlights include 70's soul legends The Real Thing, who had top UK hits with songs like You To Me Are Everything and Can't Get By Without You.

On the bill is the Blackman Brothers Big Band, with six musicians and a horn section, playing soul classics and Motown melodies.

Also appearing are young Indie band Feedback, the ever popular 1066 Rockit Men and Slam, with Katie Lloyd, who have been the support act to Status Quo.

Sunday's family session sees a performance by the popular Sands Quintet, who will be performing the classic songs of Frank Sinatra.

Also performing on Sunday are local favourites Crooked Style.

The Friday and Saturday evenings run from 7pm - 11.45pm, while Sunday is a family day and runs from 2pm - 6pm.

There will be a bouncy castle and face painting as well as a free colouring picture and pens for the first 100 children to arrive.

Hastings Community Circus will be performing and there will be a food bar and soft drinks.

This year visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite. In the past the winner and champion beer has been Schiehallion, a Scottish cask lager, brewed by the Harviestoun Brewery using a lager yeast and Hersbrucker hops and properly served cold conditioned.

Another was Cherry Beer brewed at The Hanley Brewery.

Tickets are £10 for the Friday and Saturday nights and £5 for the Sunday afternoon session. Under 12's go free on Sunday.

They are on sale now at Rye and Hastings tourist information centres and from the Robin Hood pub itself.

There is ample free off-road parking.
