A town centre pub raised more than £400 for a local charity by holding a weekend of live music.
The Clarence, in Middle Street near the Town Hall, put on three days of live bands to help raise funds for the Association of Carers.
Despite bad weather cutting short the barbecue the landlord still hailed the weekend a big success.
Glenn Co
nway said: "It went really well. Everyone had a good time and a big thanks has to go to the bands who all performed brilliantly.
"It is a good cause and it was just nice to be able to help out."
Local acts The Kosmic Dogs took to the stage on Friday night, while on Saturday The Tea-Chest Blues entertained the crowds and Jonny Eden finished things with a set on Sunday.
Jo Oliver, spokesman for the charity, said: "I would like to thank Glenn, all his staff and the customers of The Clarence.
"We all enjoyed the three bands which played. They all were great and really got everyone going.
"We also had people who were interested in volunteering for us, which was great as we always need volunteers to sit with dependants so that carers can have a well deserved respite break."
Landlord Mr Conway now plans to run the Hastings Marathon for the charity in December.
If you would like to sponsor him please either pop in to see him in The Clarence or call Jo at the Association of Carers on 01424 722309.
