Hundreds of people flocked to Pond Lane Recreation Park for Durrington's Big Day.

There was something for everyone with more than 90 stalls in the Village Fayre, the Harris Brother's traditional fairground, bungee jumping and trampolines.

The real crowd puller was the Hollywood themed Carnival Procession featuring an Elvis Tribute Act. Floats and cars left Yeoman Way and traveled up to Pond Lane Park to be met with crowds of people lining the streets.

Peter Bloxham, chairman of Durrington Festival organising committee, said: "This year's festival has been bigger and better than ever before.

"The sun really has shone for us. The festival is a fantastic opportunity for the community to get together."

There will an evening concert this evening from 5pm to 10pm featuring Elvis - Tribute to the King, and Durrington High School Bands – Paper Mache, Eskimo, Happy Faces.

Tomorrow, Sunday June 15, High Salvington Windmill is open to the public from 2.30pm to 5pm.
