MUSIC giant HMV's new Worthing store was officially opened by boyband Avenue yesterday afternoon (Thursday, September 25).
The "next generation" store was packed full with screaming fans eager to catch a glimpse of Avenue, who performed their debut single Last Goodbye before singing copies.

Trish Saunders, HMV's events manager said the new store would bring Worthing in line with Brighton and Chichester which both already have HMV stores.

She added:"We've been looking at Worthing for a long time with the view to opening an HMV here. When the right site came up we took it."

The store, in the Montague Centre, has taken over the unit where Music Zone was based before it closed down several months ago.
