LIGHTNING struck in Wisborough Green on Friday afternoon, leaving a house with a damaged chimney.

Two Petworth fire crews were called to the house, off Durbans Road, just before 5pm.

Firefighters removed debris from the roof and used waterproof sheeting to make a temporary roof repair.
