Lancing speargun car drama

AN armed response police unit were called to Lancing after a woman reported seeing car passengers passing a gun around.
The drama unfolded on Friday evening (September 5) when police received a call from a woman who said she had seen a gun in a car parked in Tower Road.
When armed officers arrived, the car was empty of passengers but the owner was traced and a spear gun was discovered in the vehicle.
The owner told police he had found it on the beach. The officers seized the weapon and the man was given a warning.
