AN EVENT, to raise funds for this year's bonfire night, will be held on May 10.
It will be the Littlehampton Bonfire Society's 14th annual May fair, and will start at 2pm, at St James' Church Hall, East Ham Road.

Richard Cooper, society secretary, said the cost of putting on bonfire night would reach £19,000 this year, all of which needed to be raised in order for money collected on the night to go to charity.

On offer will be books, home-made cakes, bric-a-brac, plants, a tombola and a raffle.

Admission is free. Anyone wishing to donate goods for sale or raffle prizes, should call Basil Cooper on 01903 713556.
