ANGMERING Village Hall will screen the Oscar-nominated Notes on a Scandal on May 10.
Staring Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett, the film won two British Independent Film awards, for Dench's portrayal of lonely, manipulative teacher Barbara Covett, and for Patrick Marber's screenplay.

Barbara is close to retirement when she meets young, attractive art teacher Sheba Hart (Blanchett), who is having an affair with a 15-year-old pupil.

When Barbara feels she has been betrayed by her new friend, she plots her revenge.

Tickets, priced £5, can be bought from Woodies News or Framing and Stitches, both in the Square, Angmering, or on the door, which opens at 6.45pm for a 7pm start.
