YOUNG performers are set to stage a new, updated version of classic tale The Wizard of Oz.
A cast of three to 16-year-olds will star in the M&J Theatre Arts production of The Wiz, which will be performed at Southwick's Barn Theatre, in Southwick Street, until August 2.

Produced by Jodie Harrop and Molly Assig, this updated version of the story is a fantasy for all the family and features a lively mixture of rock and soul tunes with musical and dance numbers.

Evening performances start at 7pm with matinées at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £8.50 for adults and £7.50 for OAPs and children from the Barn Theatre box office on 01273 597094.
