ARTISTS from all over the district are putting their work on show from August 23 to September 7.
Artwave 2008 features the talents of dozens of artists, photographers, furniture makers and crafts people.

Work will be exhibited in galleries, workshops and open houses in Lewes, Seaford, Peacehaven and Newhaven, and in villages including Iford, Firle and Newick.

The not-for-profit event was launched on Wednesday last week at the Old Market Lane Garage in North Street, Lewes, with a selection of the work, including pieces by Lewes artists Tom Walker and Peter Messer.

Artwave is now into its 15 year and began in the 1980s as an art trail in Lewes town before expanding to cover the whole of the Lewes district.

Organisers have created and launched a new website which includes full listings and locations of every event.
