CARNIVAL: Worthing Rotary Carnival

The Worthing Rotary Carnival has a packed line-up of activities, kicking off with the parade of colourful floats in Grand Avenue.

But that's not all, and there will be plenty for all the family to enjoy.

The day's activities will pan out as follows:

The parade:

11.30am: Entrants assemble in Grand Avenue – floats this year so far, include kung fu youngsters, Beauty and the Beast, a samba band, belly dancers, a red Rolls-Royce, and lots more.

12.30pm: The floats will be judged

1.30pm: The parade moves off – see the map, right, for route

2.15pm: The carnival procession arrives at Steyne Gardens, where a host of activities and attractions are waiting.

11am: Gates open. Bouncy castles, go-karts and trampolines will keep the youngsters entertained. There will also be stalls from various charities and organisations.

12.45pm: Start of the stage show

1pm: Music on offer as Stardust Hotshots jazz band takes to the stage

2.15pm: The carnival parade arrives

2.30pm: Local singer Charrise, pictured left, performs

3pm: Presentation of prizes by the mayor of Worthing, Ann Sayers

3.30pm: The Brighton School of Samba put on a show of dancing and drumming

4pm: Favourite Irish folk band, Flash Company, pictured right, performs for the final hour of the show
