LIVE MUSIC: AC/DC tribute Live/Wire

BOTH the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras of the legendary band AC/DC will be evoked when spectacular AC/DC tribute Live/Wire play Worthing's Assembly Hall on Saturday, May 23 at 7.30pm.

Bon Scott, aged 33, died a rock 'n' roll death in 1980 and was replaced by Brian Johnson.

As Eddie Clark, sole surviving founder member of Live/Wire says, it was a change in personnel which created two very distinct periods for the band.

"It took a long time for a lot of people to get over Bon's death and accept Brian Johnson but now the post-Bon material is generally just as lauded as the classic AC/DC – and audiences will get their share of both in Worthing.

The Walk All Over Tour sees Live/Wire presenting a full AC/DC show in theatres – the cannons, walkways and backdrops which will make you believe the real band are on stage, combined with the AC/DC signature sound, instruments and stage attire, plus all the moves and all the grooves.

Band member Eddie said: "In 1976, my brother bought the first single and played it to me. That's how it started.

"He was a few years older than me. But that music just evoked such emotions in me..."

And the magic is still going – even though albums from the real AC/DC have become rather sparser in recent years.

They rock hard and they are a great band."
