MUSIC: Big Girls Don't Cry at Worthing Pavilion

FOUR singers in pastel coloured jackets intend to take audiences at Worthing's Pavilion Theatre back in time to the days of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in the new production Big Girls Don't Cry (Sunday August 1, 7.45pm).

Producer Jack Applebaum has spent two years preparing the production, which includes Four Seasons' songs including Big Girls Don't Cry, Let's Hang On, Rag Doll, Walk Like a Man, Sherry, You're Just too Good To Be True and a rendition of Silence is Golden.

Damion Scarcella stars as Frankie Valli with Joseph Connell, William Hazell and Tom Guest as the Four Seasons.

The show also includes humorous and novelty songs as well as banter about the lives and career of the group.

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons' hits began with their number one, Sherry in 1962.

After a further run of hits, My Eyes Adored You hit number one on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1975 followed by the theme song from the 1978 film Grease, which also went to number one.
