THOUSANDS of pounds were raised for charity at this year’s Broadwater Carnival.

Families flocked to see the spectacle, which ran from Worthing High School to Broadwater Green, led by Spiderman-clad Bournemouth Carnival Band.

Displays from a Kung-Fu club, dance troupes and steel bands were among the diverse highlights of the event.
