WHY take such a large brush out with you on a night on the town?
This young couple look like they're dressed in the best outfits, but the lady has a large brush in her hand.

Could it be a clothes brush to make sure her gentleman friend's suit stays lint free?

Maybe it's a prop, or a rather large hairbrush.

This picture was found among the thousands of photographs in the Herald archive which cannot be identified, but hopefully readers will be able to reveal the true story.
