WORTHING-BASED band Sandweaver, impressed the judges by playing two minutes of their original song Never Go Back.

The four indie space rockers, who supported Texas at Arundel Festival 2006, and have their debut album on the way, are Tom Pople on bass guitar, Matt Sweet on vocals and guitar, JP Stubbs on lead guitar and John Hickling on drums.

Tom said: "We were really chuffed with the result as the odds were stacked against us and we are all looking forward to the semi-finals."
