Angry Lancing residents slam plan to extend Seaside School

ANGRY residents fear traffic caused by the expansion of a Lancing school ‘will result in a child being killed’.

Plans to extend Seaside Primary School in Freshbrook Road, Lancing, include adding a new gate on Seaside Avenue to accommodate the extra pupils.

Neighbours fear the narrow roads and cul-de-sacs will not be able to cope with the increased volume of traffic, making accidents more likely.

Residents voiced their concerns at a series of recent meetings, the latest of which was held at the school on Friday afternoon.

They said the surrounding streets were being overrun by parents’ cars at drop-off and pick-up times, blocking driveways, and putting children’s lives in danger.
