A MOTHER has made an emotional appeal for the return of a phone which had been the last gift of her husband to their son.

Jane Marshall, from Durrington, revealed her dismay following her 15 year-old’s loss of the mobile during snowy conditions near Centenary House in Durrington on Friday, January 18.

More than two weeks later, the Galaxy Ace smartphone has yet to be found, but the family is hoping it may yet still be traced.

Mrs Marshall, of Barnet Way, said: “Charlie was so happy with the phone, which had been the last gift from his father Gavin, who passed away a few months ago.

“My son is feeling devastated. He now feels that there’s almost a part of him missing.

“The phone had a lot of sentimental value with pictures of the family and his dad on it and some contacts of my husband which we don’t have stored anywhere else.

“We have made police aware of its loss, but if anyone does have it could they please let us know. We live quite close to Centenary House and we believe it was lost near there in the snow.”

If anyone has any information contact Police on 101
