Appeal for information following Ashington collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision near Ashington on Sunday (February 12).

At around 3.35pm, a Ford KA travelling west on the B2133 near Ashington left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl, sustained serious injuries and was taken to King’s College Hospital, London, by air ambulance. Her condition is described as critical.

There was no-one else in the car at the time of the collision.

Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Montreal.
