Appeals for witnesses following A27 collision, with video

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision which left a cyclist suffering from serious injuries.

At 2am on Saturday (August 18) a taxi and cyclist, both travelling west on the A27 Old Shoreham Road, collided near to Grinstead Lane, Lancing.

The cyclist, a 38-year-old local man, suffered from serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, for treatment.

The driver of the taxi, a 58-year-old man from Rustington, attended Royal Sussex County Hospital suffering from minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Swinford.
