Chloe, from Lancing, was joined by her three-year-old sister, Sienna, and friends Sophie Poxon, Olivia Longhurst, Thomas Simmons, Holly Booth and Ellie Stevens, all aged nine.

The youngsters all arrived in style at Worthing's Pavilion Theatre for a day at the circus.

Chloe's proud parents, Darren and Julie, ensured the youngsters were dressed to impress and even provided each of the seven children with their very own replica Oscar, inscribed with their name.

Julie, a former Miss Worthing, said: "When Chloe asked for a limousine for her birthday we refused straight away.

"We then realised her birthday would fall during Oscars week, and thought it would be a fantastic idea for the kids."

After the children received the VIP treatment, they spent the afternoon enjoying the fun and frolics of Zippo's circus.
