Big Band concert in aid of Help for Heroes

TONY Strudwick is returning to the Shoreham Centre for one night only with his Big Band show, on Sunday, June 8, at 7.30pm in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’.

Guests are invited to celebrate the 70th anniversary of D-Day with all the well-known wartime classics as well as the great memorable tunes from the likes of Glen Miller, Count Basie and others.

Joining Tony on stage at this fundraising event will be Jaynie Jay, Samantha Dawn and Jackie Lewis.

“Fans of good Big Band music with an appreciation for good musicians will thoroughly enjoy an evening of swinging musical grandeur,” said Tony.

During the interval there will be a large raffle and a competition for the best dressed and guests are invited to come dressed in 1940s outfits.

All proceeds are being donated to Help for Heroes, a charity very close to the band’s heart, as many of the band’s musicians are ex-servicemen themselves.

The band has entertained British forces around Europe as well as members of the Royal Family including Prince Charles.
