THREE Year six pupils from Downsbrook Middle School were crowned Young Magistrates of the Year at Worthing Magistrates Court recently.
Nathan Ireland chaired the winning team with Amy Allright and Alex Pulford as his wingers.
Six Worthing schools took part, competing over two rounds – a legal quiz consisting of 15 questions and a mock trial.
The trial involved real life magistrates as well as young drama students.
Each team had to deliver their findings to the rest of the courtroom.
All participants received certificates and the winners were awarded a trophy.
