Birthday cake giveaway at Splashpoint
FREE cake was given to Splashpoint visitors on Friday to mark the centre’s first birthday.
Catering staff baked throughout the day to meet the demand.
James Spencer, business development officer, said: “It went very well. They had fantastic footfall through the day and the guests absolutely loved the cake. There were one or two feedback forms acknowledging how good the cake was.”
Mr Spencer said the giveaway was ‘well received’ by Worthing Borough Councillor Clive Roberts and John Mitchell, the director of services for Worthing Leisure.
The caterers had to make more than double the amount of cake originally planned. Mr Spencer said they were ‘exceptionally helpful’.
