BREAKING NEWS: Pedestrian hit by car in Broadwater suffers life-threatening injuries

A PEDESTRIAN suffered life-threatening injuries after they were hit by a car in Broadwater tonight (Saturday, November 8).

A man was hit by a silver Citroen C3, outside Jade House Chinese takeaway, in Broadwater Road, at 8.25pm.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital by ambulance.

A police spokesman said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a car and a pedestrian collided in Broadwater Road, Worthing, at about 8.25pm.

“The silver Citroen C3, driven by a 31-year-old woman from Lancing, collided with a male pedestrian. The vehicle was travelling south at the time of the collision.”

Police remain on the scene investigating and the road will remain closed southbound until around 11pm.
