BREAKING NEWS: Worthing cyclist injured

A WORTHING man suffered a head injury this afternoon (Monday) after falling off his bike.

The 60-year-old was cycling in Goring Street, Worthing, close to the junction with Goring Way at around 12.30pm.

He mounted the kerb trying to avoid a black Mercedes, missing the car but falling from his bike.

The cyclist was taken to Worthing Hospital suffering from a cut to his head, a bruised shoulder and fractured ribs.

He was released earlier this afternoon.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
