BREAKING UPDATE: Latest on fire at Sussex school

Fire has ripped through buildings at Buckswood School in Guestling.

Firefighters remain at the scene of the fire after being called out at 6.32pm.

A spokesperson said, “Crews were mobilised to Buckswood School following reports of smoke issuing from the roof of the building.

“Firefighters are continuing to use breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and one in seven foam to tackle the fire and they have now begun to turn over and damp down at the scene.”
