BREAKING: Women assaulted in Findon Valley

Police are appealing for witnesses after two women were attacked in Downside Avenue, Findon Valley, on Thursday August 8.

The victims were outside on their front drive when the assault took place between 6.50pm and 7.10pm.

One of the women received arm, shoulder, and head injuries, and is being treated at Worthing Hospital.

PC David Slade said: “I do believe that there are independent witnesses who saw some or all of the incident. I am appealing for these witnesses to come forward and speak to me in confidence.”

A 57-year-old man from the Arundel area, was arrested on suspicion of affray, assault and actual bodily harm along with a man aged 24 from Arundel who was arrested on suspicion of affray. Both were questioned and bailed until Tuesday, 24 September.

A 26-year-old man from Worthing, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon. A 51-year-old man from Worthing, was arrested on suspicion of affray. Both were questioned and bailed until Wednesday, 25 September.
