Water from a washing machine caused problems for two houses in Burgess Hill yesterday (Wednesday October 23).

Firefighters were called to the homes in Dumbrills Close around 12.30pm.

Water had burst from a washing machine hose which affected the ground floor of the house and a neighbouring property.

The water leak was isolated by the emergency service and the water mopped up.
