A RESTAURANT in Worthing which has been spicing up the lives of residents for more than a decade has gained a national highly commended award.
East Worthing MP Tim Loughton presented the team at Jafran in Broadwater with its accolade in the Tiffin Cup, after putting it forward as our area’s entry for the annual contest.
Manager Koddus Ali, welcomed the nomination by the MP, which follows in the wake of gaining a previous nomination four years ago. He believed it was rewarding to think the Broadwater Street West restaurant was being recognised: “It is great to have been recommended by our MP as one of his favourite places. I’ve been in the restaurant business since 1980 and started Jafran here in Broadwater in 2000.
“Though I’ve enjoyed it as a career, with the recession we are surviving through hard work, the quality of food and focusing on customer service.
“We were nominated four years ago by Tim Loughton and MP Peter Bottomley, so it is nice we were commended again.”
