Worthing town crier Bob Smytherman opened the event last Friday and special guests included borough and county councillor Paul High, Ashvin Patel, senior adviser on adults social care and safeguarding, and other officials from West Sussex County Council.

Director Mahendra Kuruppuarachchi said: “Our residents, staff and the families thoroughly enjoyed the day, showing the true meaning of friendship and support that we give to each other.”

He was delighted to see so much community support for Care Home Open Day at Westdene, an Aspire Life Care Limited home in Rye Close.

He welcomed the friendship and support networks that are attached to Westdene and its residents.
