VIDEO: Firefighters rescue dog, and women escape, from Durrington fire

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog, and two women managed to escape, from a fire in New Road, Durrington, last night (Thursday, June 21).

The fire service was called to a fire at a semi-detached bungalow at 8.29pm.

Two women, one elderly and one middle-aged, had already left the building, but firefighters had to enter the property to rescue a dog.

The women received oxygen therapy treatment at the scene, before being taken to hospital.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental ignition.
