Buy once and give twice’ with charity Christmas cards scheme

A POP-UP Christmas card shop has returned to Worthing with a new partnership in tow.

‘Cards for Good Causes’ has opened at Cornerstone Methodist Church, in Brighton Road, offering festive gifts and cards from more than 30 national and local charities including Worthing and District Scope, Canine Partners, Talking Newspapers and Winston’s Wish.

This year, the church will also have a post box, offering a postal service from the Broadwater Boys Club.

Cards will be delivered in the Broadwater area for a small donation until the first week of December.

Managers Shaun Coppard and Chris Robinson said it was ‘a great way to beat the postal costs and help the Boys Club.’

Mr Coppard added: “The continuing support of the volunteers who man the shop is amazing.

“Many have been involved for years and come from the local community and charities.

“Without them the shop simply could not operate, so if you would like to volunteer please pop in and see us.

“When choosing Christmas cards this year, make a difference and make them charity cards.

“They are a great way to buy once and give twice, once to the person you send the card to and again to your favourite charity.”

Cards for Good Causes is open from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Saturday, until Thursday, December 19.
